Hey yall it's Saturday

Hi my OFF family:

It's so nice and cool out ... 60 degrees, and I have the sliding door open and a window open in the bedroom. It's so pleasant. Juliette is up and playing with the track ball thingy. She came out from hiding after I got home and let me pet her. She's getting a little less skittish every day. Yesterday, I got free kitty litter from Petco because the woman there, she knew me from the last time I was there ... she asked if I was doing better ... I told her Scooter had died, but I had a new furball. She said they had a coupon for those who had adopted a new pet. So I got free cat litter ... such a good deal. I think I like Petco better than Petsmart.

I think I'm having a fibro flare-up. Or something's going on. Not only was my knee hurting me like crazy, but I was itchy all over. Now, we have these teeny-tiny little ants that infest the office, and I did see some on my desk, but I don't think that was it ... however, once I got home, and got some hydrocortisone on me, I quit itching. It was horrible.. I felt like something was crawling under my skin.

Missed deadline again ... my boss said she would help me and then when it came down to it, she was yacking away with the night editor. So I had four stories to throw on the page in the final 10 minutes before deadline ... and one was short, so of course I was late. Is it any wonder I'm having a fibro flare?

Well, today should be a little easier ... all the games are early, except for the team playing in Hawaii really late that we're not going to get.

i think the rain has ended in Jersey, so hooray for that.

Hi Eileen and Everyone,
Well yesterday we went grocery shopping for the kids!!!!! It was like when Liz was little and I had to shop for the family!!!!!!! I guess I am playing mom for a few days!!!!!
Today my husband is officially a sr citizen. His medicare went into effect!!!!! He turned 65 today.
We are having a little dinner party for him at a restaurant that my brother in plays piano there.
I am going to go and see Brenda today. Ill try to get her to post!!!!!!! She doesnt have much internet access.
Eileen I am sorry for the itching. I hate those little ants. Sometimes I get them in the house and tevia goes nuts!!!!!

Good Morning Eileen, Jacki, Others,

I picked up my baby girl (lol), 33 year young daughter, Angela, from the airport and we went to have sushi last night, she is still sleeping, as she worked her shift, yesterday and than had a class, so she did not get much sleep, she certainly is not loving the night shift, kudos to those who can do it not an easy task when you need sleep, my baby girl always slept a minimum of 10 hours. . . anyway, it is great to have her here and we will be surprising her big brother and nephew later today when we go to Vaughn's birthday party.

Roxie was thrilled to meet her big sister (lol) and Angela, just loved Roxie, by the time she goes home on Monday, I have a feeling she will want to take Roxie with her, not happening. . .

Other than the party, I have my monthly support group this morning. I wish all of you a good day, it's a crisp Fall day here and Roxie is barking at me, so time to take her for her walk.

Good Morning Eileen and everyone

It is a georgeous day here.  I was up early and actually felt well rested.  I am in Louisiana checking on my mom, she has been a little under the weather.

Laureen - So happy you are getting to spend a little time with your daughter.  Sounds like you will have a great weekend.

My daughter Mary is going to be a Daisy Troop leader. (little Girl Scouts) She was asking where to get craft supplies. I have a room full. So, I spent the morning filling bags and boxes to donate to the little scouts. Hardly made a dent in my craft room.

My cousin who was in the bad accident is being transferred from Philly to Mt. Sinai in NYC. He still has such a long recovery ahead. Still a miracle that he has survived when all the doctors told his Mom to pull the plug. Shows that doc's are not always right and the power of prayer does work.

What shall I do today?  Fun stuff and nothing like housework. Sounds perfect.

Eileen...so glad Juliette is starting to come around. Sounds like your job has been very stressful....no wonder you have a Fibro flare up. Hope the pain subsides soon.

I am not doing much today....just hanging out at home. I had so many errands yesterday and odds and ends to do I was exhausted by 4:00 PM. Felt like I worked all day.

Hi Eileen and everyone else trotting down the path!

Eileen I am so happy you have another kitty.  I wanted to write to you and tell you to get another one, but didn't want to sound insensitive.  But, I know when I lost one of my labs when he was run over in front of my house, I went into a deep, deep depression.   My sister and daughter went and bought me one and I didn't think I could love it like the other one, guess what?  It took about an hour for me to cuddle and sweet talk him.  lol..  I still miss Kane, but my other dog, didn't take his place, but I found I could love another animal as deeply.  However, I have to share the love  between four dogs and one cat..lol

Today it is dreary and I wanted to work a little in the yard.  What I did do is go to the farmer next door and buy all my beef and pork from him for about a month worth of meals.  He is cheaper than the store and the meat is farm raised NO bad things for you in the meat.    It is nice to be able to go out to the amish and buy veggies, eggs, maple syrup and bread or what ever.  But it is REALLY nice to have a butcher next door!  I buy the dog bones, huge one's for my dogs and they absolutely love them.  They really stop pestering me and spend hours gnawing away.

Carla, happy birthday to your hubby!  Something special planned for the late night ????  lol

Miss ya, hope to see you in NOV.  We had to change the dates because my husband could not get off the weeks in Dec.

Good Morning to you Eileen and the rest of you crazy women!
It's great to hear that Juliette is warmimg up... she will love having your love. I'm in Lake Tahoe enjoying the view. Today we are going to some Oktoberfest- I wish I had my wheelchair. It is ordered- I should have it very soon. My insurance covers it. It will be a rental unless I need it for a year... if so it becomes mine. I'm sure I won't need it for more than a couple of months. My doctor ordered the lightweight model so it will be easy to carry on a plane... I sure could have used that in the Caymans.
Thanks for the advice on conscious sedation Eileen. I will definitely take a friend with me and get that. I'm not into pain if I can avoid it.
I guess that' my news today. I'm off to Oktoberfest in a few minutes. I'll have a beer and sit a lot.
